Booking is simple: call or message us to reserve your spot. Once scheduled, book your flight to Salt Lake City, Utah, and arrange transportation to Logan. From there, we’ll handle the rest and take care of your lodging, accommodations, and meals to ensure a hassle-free experience.
Our long-range class is taught exclusively with the Weatherby 30-378 rifle, ensuring consistency and precision. Personal firearms are not permitted.

Why should I consider a long-range class in the first place?
A long-range shooting class is a great way to sharpen, master, and/or learn a skill. Beyond just shooting targets at a great distance, our long-range class aims to help students handle both their firearms and responsibilities as gun owners. When you take our course, you’ll learn accuracy, consistency, the science behind the shot, and better habits. Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or brand new to the concept, our instructors are here for you.
Are there any airports closer to you than Salt Lake?
We are roughly 83 miles from Salt Lake City, and the Salt Lake Airport is the nearest major airport to us. However, you may be able to book a regional flight into the smaller Ogden Airport, which is less than 50 miles away from us. Just as a reminder that your flight and transportation to our long-range class are the only things you need to worry about. We’ll take care of your hotel and food while you’re with us.
Should I bring my own gun?
No, you should not. We’ll have the firearms here to ensure consistency and accuracy in the class. We’ll use the Wheatherby 378.

I was skeptical about the 1,000 yard guarantee. Thankfully my cousin talked me into joining him for Mark Thompson’s class. Prior to Mark’s class ( and subsequent .30-378 purchase) I had a self imposed 400 yd max limit. Now, under good conditions I have no doubt about making an ethical big game shot at 1,000 yds. Mark Thompson’s philosophy is keep it simple, no gimmicks, don’t deviate from his proven formula and you will be happy with the results. It was a red-letter day learning from Mark. He is genuine straight shooter. On the range and off.
My wife and I both enjoyed the course. The idea that you can pick up a new gun out of the box, set it up, learn how to use it, then go to the range and shoot a target 1000 yds away is unbelievable but that is exactly what we did. We both left the course excited about what we did and ready to go shooting again soon. I would highly recommend and can’t imagine why you would try to hunt without having had this course first.
